Well, it has been a little more than a year since I took pictures for the Dove’s. It is a great pleasure making memories for this family again. We went to Hotel Roanoke to take the pictures for the shoot. We spent about an hour walking around the hotel admiring all the great places to take pictures. We also had a good time just talking. I really appreciate the Dove’s and all they have done for me and my family.

Right before we left, I said goodbye and started to walk to my car. When I was almost there, I heard a loud crunch! I didn’t know what had happened. I looked back and thought that they hit the car behind them. I ran back to their car to discover that they had forgotten John Daniel’s rolling toy underneath the wheel of the car. So these pictures are sort of a memorial to the toy as well. Enjoy! God bless the Dove Family.

Last Christmas I didn’t know what to give for presents so I gave a few photoshoots away to some of my friends. My friends Zawadi and Erin just finished with their shoot. It was such a great time of hanging out and getting some amazing shots. We started in Forest, VA at a little antique shop in the middle of nowhere. I had no clue it was there until they took me there. Next we went to a local wheat field and then finally ended up downtown with some nice backgrounds for some great shots. The best things about working with Zawadi and Erin are their ideas and thoughts about each shot; they both are great photographers! They knew exactly what to do without me saying hardly anything. Thank you guys for such a great time working together. I hope you enjoy!

I was going through my pictures on my hard drive and found this one I took while in Colorado last Christmas. Pikes Peak is so beautiful during the winter. For the past few years, Kelley and I have been going to Colorado for Christmas. Each year, the time there has been packed with shopping, visiting, and lots of eating. Even though Kelley’s family is going to be here with us this Christmas, I am going to miss being in Colorado. Could you imagine waking up, walking down the stairs for breakfast and looking out the window to see this wonderful sight? God has made Himself completely evident in all of His creation. I am so grateful that I know the God who is bigger and greater than all things. He created everything and is Lord of everything as well. Also, I am blessed beyond everything that I know the Savior who came to earth as a baby and then sacrificed His life so that I could be forgiven from all of my sins. No matter how many times I am reminded, I am always thankful for Jesus. He is the real reason we celebrate Christmas. May you have a wonderful Christmas this year!

We’ll, it’s official. I am the proud owner of a new 50mm 1.4 f/stop USM Ultrasonic lens. It arrived this morning as an early Christmas present from my wife!  Isn’t she the greatest! I am so excited to be able to use a 50mm lens again. My 1.8 lens broke when I went to go put up my laptop and forgot to unplug my camera from the computer; bad day. Anyways, I now have been blessed with an even better lens and can’t wait to put it to some good use. Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recently I was asked to do an engagement photo shoot by my good friend Mathew Encinosa. We had no clue where to go for the shoot so we went downtown Lynchburg. I didn’t know that Lynchburg had so many interesting shops and places to go. I always saw people down by the statue or on the stairs doing photoshoots. I did not want to do the same old thing; so we didn’t. We went to the little island right off downtown and walked around a bit. Then we headed back downtown for some cookie icing and song singing. I had such a blast working with Mathew and Jamie. I hope you guys enjoy these great pictures!

So today I found out that Owl City did a version of In Christ Alone by Keith and Kristen Getty. I was so stoked! This past weekend, my wife and I had the privilege of going to Sinkland Farms in Christiansburg, Va to do a photo shoot for the Tozier Family. We had three families all together at one time. There was a bunch of running around trying to get peoples attention but everything turned out great. It was truly a blessing to be able to enjoy some time with the Tozier family. I can’t wait to do it again. Check out some of the pictures below.

So we have had Cole for a few weeks and he is becoming part of the family. I still have to move softly around him so he doesn’t get scared. He is beginning to warm up to me. Cole’s favorite thing to do is play tug-a-war with his rope. The other day he was playing on the porch and I grabbed my camera and took some pics. Check them out.

So Kelley and I just got a new dog the other day! I was so excited to have him arrive. He had been with Kelley’s family for the last month. Kelley’s sister is the one who found a lady selling puppies and she picked this one out for us. It was supposed to be a surprise birthday gift for me but I guessed on the first try.

We named our puppy Cole Theodore Tuck. Cole after a friend of ours and the dog is as black as coal. Also, I liked the name Theodore from Alvin and the chipmunks. He has been a great addition to the Tuck family so far. A little pup full of joy and tons of energy. There are so many things for him to explore and some many ways to get into trouble. This is the start a beautiful relationship. Check out some the pics I took of him.
